In short
In these ports a beach is either a walk from the pier or a short taxi or bus ride away. Take a beach towel from the ship if the line allows it, sunscreen and cash for a sunbed. Keep an eye on the time: beaches are where people forget the all-aboard time most often.

Beach day tips
- Many ships lend beach towels — ask at guest services and bring them back.
- Sunbeds and umbrellas on organised beaches are usually paid; a little cash helps.
- Wear swimwear under your clothes and pack a light cover-up for town.
- Set an alarm for the time to head back — on the beach the hours fly.
- Do not leave valuables on the sand; take only what you need.

Common questions
Can I take a towel from the ship?
On many ships, yes — there are special beach towels. Check the rules on board and bring them back the same day.
Is the beach better on my own or with an excursion?
For beaches within walking distance, on your own is easy. For beaches further away, an excursion or a taxi agreed in advance saves stress.
Are these beaches good for swimming all year?
In the Caribbean and the Canaries, mostly yes. In the Mediterranean the water is warmest from June to October; in the north, beaches are for walks.
What if the weather is bad?
Then switch to the town: every port in this list has a port guide with ideas that do not depend on the sun.
How the club fits in
In the club's search you see each cruise's ports, so you can look for itineraries with the ports that suit you. Not every cruise line can be booked through the club: check the specific sailing. More about booking with points.
