How Do Reward Points Work?

Reward Points are credits you earn by paying your membership on time. They lower the cost of a cruise, hotel, or resort booked through the club — up to 50% of a cruise, or the full amount if you plan far enough ahead.

They're not money: you can't cash them out, transfer them to someone else's account, or use them anywhere outside the club. They only ever apply to bookings made through it.

How You Earn Them

Every time you pay your membership invoice on time — within 5 days of the billing date — your points for that payment are doubled. Pay late, and you still earn points, just not the doubled amount. There's no separate action required: earning points is simply a byproduct of staying current on your membership.

What They Can Cover

Booking typeMaximum coverage with points
CruisesUp to 50% of the cost (remainder paid in cash) — or 100% if booked 270+ days ahead
Hotels & resortsUp to 17% of the cost

Points can't be used to cover airfare, post-confirmation upgrades, insurance, cancellation or name-change fees, gratuities, shore excursions, specialty dining, or onboard personal spending.

Two Ways to Use Points on a Cruise

Since March 2026, there are two distinct ways to apply points to a cruise:

  • Reward Points + Payment — points cover up to 50%, you pay the rest. You can book as close as 30 days before departure, and this is the only method that qualifies for the price match guarantee and optional trip protection.
  • All Reward Points — points cover 100% of the cruise cost, available when you're booking 270 days or more before departure. This method does not qualify for the price match guarantee or trip protection.

Do Points Expire?

Not while you're an active member — they simply accumulate. If you stop paying and your membership lapses, your Reward Points convert into what's called Base Points: a fixed discount of up to 17%, which does not expire, but stops growing and can't be combined with active Reward Points.
