Who is responsible
Reislite (reislite.com) is run by Alexandr Krylov, a private individual in the Netherlands and an Independent Partner of inCruises. He is responsible (the “controller”) for the personal data described on this page. Questions about your data: info@reislite.com.
In short
No analytics, no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels. Fonts and all other site files load from our own server, so your browser does not contact Google or other third parties while you read. We only receive personal data when you write to us through the contact form or click one of our short links. We never sell your data.
1. The contact form
What we receive: your name, email address, the topic you chose, your message and the IP address it was sent from.
Why: to answer you. The IP address is used only to recognise and block spam and abuse of the form.
Legal basis: your consent, which you give with the checkbox in the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). For the IP address: our legitimate interest in protecting the form (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long: your message arrives as an email in our mailbox. We keep it until your question has been handled and delete it no later than 12 months after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
WhatsApp: if you write to us on WhatsApp instead, we see your phone number, your WhatsApp name and the messages you send. We use them only to answer you, on the same legal basis and with the same retention period as the form. WhatsApp itself is run by Meta, which processes the conversation under its own privacy policy.
2. Short links (reislite.com/go/…)
Some links on this site and in our social media go through a short link that counts the click and then sends you on to the destination.
What we store per click: the time, which link was clicked, a source label (for example “instagram”), the page you came from, your browser type, and a pseudonymised form of your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored: it is turned into an irreversible code that only lets us tell repeat clicks apart.
Why: to see which links and channels are actually useful, and to filter out bots.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding which of our links work (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long: click records are deleted automatically after 24 months.
3. Cookies
We set one technical cookie, and only on pages with the contact form: a session cookie (PHPSESSID). It protects the form against forged submissions and limits sending to one message per minute. It contains only a random identifier and is deleted when you close your browser. Because the form cannot work safely without it, no consent is needed for it. We set no other cookies. The AI assistant chat sets no cookies: an open conversation is kept only in your browser tab's memory (sessionStorage) and disappears when you close the tab.
4. Server logs
Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data about each request — such as IP address, time, requested page and browser type — to keep the server running and secure. These logs are kept for a limited period by the hosting provider. We do not use them to identify visitors.
5. The AI assistant chat
The site has a chat with an AI assistant. It only opens when you start it yourself.
What we receive: the text of your messages and the assistant's replies, the page you are writing from, the time and a pseudonymised IP address. The IP address itself is not stored: it is turned into an irreversible code that only lets us count messages coming from the same address.
Why: to answer your question, to protect the chat from abuse, and to improve answers and site content based on the questions visitors ask.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering visitors' questions and protecting the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long we keep it: conversations are deleted automatically 12 months after the last message.
Replies are generated by Anthropic's Claude AI model and may contain mistakes, so please check anything important with us directly. Please don't type your phone number, address, ID or bank card details into the chat: for personal questions, use the contact form.
Who receives your data
- Our hosting provider, which runs this website and sends the contact form messages on our behalf.
- Google (Gmail): contact form messages are delivered to our Gmail mailbox. Google may process data outside the EU, including in the United States; Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
- Anthropic PBC (USA): chat messages are sent to its Claude model to generate a reply. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, this data is not used to train its models. Data is transferred to the US under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Nobody else. We do not sell or rent personal data and do not use it for advertising.
Links to other websites
Buttons such as “Join” take you to the inCruises website. From that moment the privacy policy of inCruises applies; we have no influence on it and receive no personal data from them through this site.
Your rights
You may ask us for access to your data, and to correct, delete or restrict it. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest, ask for your data in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing that already took place). Write to info@reislite.com; we reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens; if you live elsewhere in the EU, you can contact the authority in your own country.
Children
This site and the club are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
When the way the site handles data changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
