Glossary: Reward Points, INsider Pricing & More

Quick definitions for the terms used across this site — no jargon, just what each one actually means.

TermWhat it means
Reward Points (RP)Credits earned by paying your membership on time, used to reduce the cost of a cruise, hotel, or resort booked through the club. Not currency — can't be cashed out or transferred.
Base PointsWhat Reward Points convert into if your membership lapses. Worth a fixed discount of up to 17%, doesn't expire, but stops growing and can't be combined with active Reward Points.
INsider PricingAn instant discount, typically around 17%, applied to listed prices for active paying members — available automatically, with no waiting or promo codes.
Reward Points + PaymentA booking method where points cover up to 50% of a cruise's cost and you pay the remainder in cash. Bookable as close as 30 days before departure; eligible for the price match guarantee and trip protection.
All Reward Points (ARP)A booking method where points cover 100% of a cruise's cost, available when booking 270 or more days before departure. Not eligible for the price match guarantee or trip protection.
Price Match GuaranteeA guarantee that matches a competing price found for the identical cruise, at least $100 lower, before booking — applies only to Reward Points + Payment bookings.
STARTER / CLASSIC / PREMIUMThe three membership tiers, priced at $50, $100, and $250 per month respectively, differing mainly in how many INsider Pricing bookings are included per year.
Active / Past Due / Base StatusThe three states a membership account can be in: Active means fully paid and current; Past Due is a short grace period after a missed invoice; Base means the membership has lapsed and points have converted to Base Points.
Independent PartnerSomeone who, separately from being a member, chooses to earn commissions by helping others join the club. Optional, and distinct from regular membership.
